VINAKA VAKALEVU FOR A NICE TIME

My, oh my!....did we have a party or what?
Bula everyone, I hope all is good & well as we get in to the eve of Christmas!
I wish to thank each and everyone of you for being there on the 22nd for our Family Get Together!
A big Vinaka Vakalevu too to the Tuamoto's for being such Great Hosts, The Ladies (our Wives) and our Kids whom I'm sure all had a good time.
A special Vinaka also to Joe and Maria for taking care of our finances and thanks to them, our wives are smiling because we were too drunk to hold on to our envelopes ...... sorry brother Oz, 'sa tobo na i vunivuni' ... can't put in for wash down now!
I hope we all enjoyed the night as I know I did and so did my family, even though I may have acted stupidly after finishing the bottle of Bundaberg Rum, but what the heck?....we were there to enjoy ourselves.....The Taukei ni vale was really smart this time.....KNOCK OUT IN THE ROOM.....save-taka nona Red Shirt!
Finally, as we approach the Big Day, I hope that we will always remember the real meaning of the day and always give thanks to Him as it is His birthday we are celebrating.
MAY YOU ALL HAVE A SPIRITUALLY FULFILLED CHRISTMAS AND A PROSPEROUS & ENJOYABLE NEW YEAR!
If anyone has any photo's you want to be uploaded on to our blog site, please forward them to me and I'll put them up .... subject to my approval ....vacava Tau Vini?

Well, well what do you know? It's finally here and I mean today is the 22nd of December 2007 ..... the day we are getting together with our families and friends to celebrate the end of yet another year.
Today, we will enjoy and have fun! We shall give thanks to the Lord for being able to make it thus far and rejoice we shall as we approach Christmas!
Let's not forget the needy, let's not forget the orphan, the hungry and those who are unfortunate.

The Rebekah Principle

The Rebekah Principle
Those who work hard will prosper.
Proverbs 13:4 NLT

Good leaders constantly observe the actions and attitudes of those around them. They're looking for someone they can trust; someone who sees the big picture yet doesn't miss the details. And when they find them they reward them! Don't wait for tomorrow, empty your best into today and watch what happens. Rebekah did and she inherited the wealth of Abraham, became the bride of Isaac and the mother of a nation. What a payoff! When Abraham's assistant was sent to find a bride for Isaac, he asked God for a sign to confirm his choice. He said that the woman who would voluntarily offer him and his camels a drink of water would be the one. Do you have any idea how much water one thirsty camel can drink? Abraham's assistant was looking for someone who wanted to serve rather than be served: in a 'me first' world that's hard to find!

Notice Rebekah's qualifications. She was motivated and time conscious: "She… ran to the well." She was thorough: "[She] drew water for all his camels" (Genesis 24:20). That one act of kindness altered the rest of her life. She'd been to that well many times before and nothing unusual happened, but that day she found favour and her life changed for good. What if she'd missed her opportunity, or said, "That's not my responsibility?"

Whether you realise it or not your actions and attitudes are determining your future. So perform with excellence for someone is watching; someone God may use to help you get to the next level. Live by the Rebekah principle - always do more than is required of you, and do it gladly!

IT'S JUST AROUND THE CORNER

It's almost unbelievable but it's true, Christmas is just around the corner and so is the New Year - 2008! We are now in to the 'last lap' so to speak, of the year 2007 and we can only wonder at 'what it could have been' had it not been for the coup! and I'm of course talking from the perspective of an employee in the Tourism Industry. So many things were supposed to have happened this year in terms of Tourism and we can only now look back with one 'tamani big VAKAISAISA' and hope that the New Year will be better.
Personally, I will always look back at this year as one the darkest in my life after the loss of my younger brother. I had never really felt so bad and so let down even after the passing away of my parents. My thinking was my parents had played their part and fulfilled their duties in our upbringing and it was up to us to carry on with their legacy while on the other hand, I felt that my brother still had so much to contribute to our family, his job and to the Nation as a whole!
I'm so thankful that I have a wonderful wife, family and friends who have all assisted and supported me during my darkest hours. I shall be forever grateful to all of you TCO's Club Members!!!.
I know that we started the year 2007 with so much enthusiasm and I know the coup really affected our plans. I think we should once again put our heads together, take stock of the past and strive to do better in 2008!
It's never too early to do this, but I'm wishing all of you, my friends the TCO's Club Members and your families; A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR! See you all on the 22nd???

Weekend News from JD's Corner

Bula All!!
After watching the George 7's Final,I conluded that Fiji is at the moment the 2nd best team after NZ.If we do not get in a good finisher wing and a good kicker then unfortunately we do not stand achance against NZ.Naba has to be dropped,We need a specialist playmaker and defence has to improve. The players are good but not fit enough for the series.Hopefully we can get Naevo, but he derserves a break after a busy hectic season.Put Ryder and Nasoni Roko and Lepani with Who else but Wai himself if we wanna go somewhere in 7's for the rest of the series, otherwise,I am sorry but we will only go down the ranking not up.
To make things worse Hatton lost, but to a superior fighter.I had hoped he won jst to shut up Mayweather's big mouth, but his hands were as good as his mouth.Hope you all had a good weekend,Sa vakacava tiko na item..keitou sa tekivu tiko na practice..sa rauta.
Qarase is talking louder now and bloody Daman made me to work, putting up shutters, but good to be prepared...sa yaga na scout.
Sa kena levu ga ni vakadidike...that's all I can say for now...So mai yasana qori...Have a nice week, everyone.
Vinaka.
